Toynol® Multifunctional Surfactants Pigment Grinding Wetting Dispersant
Introduction Toynol® grinding aids can truly be characterized as the multifunction-al low-foam dispersants are designed specially for pigment in aqueous systems.
Application Advantages £ª Maximize improving the ability of color development £ª Low viscosity while grinding high concentration color paste £ª No thickening effect £ª Rapidly wet pigment ability and highly grind efficiency £ªExcellent color paste stabiliza- tion £ª Low-foam nature £ª Perfect co***tibility with other substances
Wetting and Foam Control Toynol® DS-136, 121 grinding dispersants contain Acetylene Alcohol Surfactant which enable dispersants to have outstanding wetting ability in dynamic condition. They can wet the pigment rapidly and shorten the grinding time. In addition, due to the lower dynamic surface tension, the pigment particles is surrounded by dispersants as soon as being cut, which will improve the grinding efficiency. Toynol® DS-121,136, due to its low foaming, which means the existence of Acetylene Alcohol restrain the generation and stability of foam, make the system within the lower grinding ***ce so as to realize the better transition process of materials and accelerate the grind of pigment.
Recommended dosage of Dispersant None Resin: 8-25% of dry powdered organic pigment Carbon Black: 30-60% Resin: 1-3%
Optimal concentration levels should be ***ermined by running a ladder study. Better add the pigment to water first, and ensure adequate agitation before add the pigment and grinding medium.
